First Assignment: April 12th
My Thoughts
Today I found some very interesting sounds. One of them was a shampoo bottle that made a weird clicking noise when opening and closing. The other was a stapler's snap while stapling a piece of paper, making a snapping sound that I think will be fitting for my presentation.
After finding some more sounds: the rustling of a caged nightlight, the heave hoe of a bread box, the tingling sound of a pencil against a rough drawer, and the BAM! of someone hitting a microwave, I was ready to begin. I had recruited my family to help me out with my composition, which I notated in my own weird and inventive way. I experimented with different simple concrete rhythms and how they interact, as well as how people can collaborate on improvised rhythms. My final product was something pretty cool.

That's awesome! Seems like you like these kinds of sharp "snappy" sounds! I look forward to hearing your composition tomorrow :)
