My Composition

I have decided to write my piece for piano (me), trumpet (James or Katie), and euphonium (David).  I plan for it to be 3 to 5 minutes, with 3 movements of about a minute and a half each in time. I  kind of want to write a classical piece similar to David's that he played for us.  I would use Finale Song Writer or Note Flight to notate it. I kind of want the music to just come out of me, so I couldn't really give it a sufficient title until after I composed it. I plan to have the first and last movements be loud and energetic, with a quieter movement sandwiched in between. I like the idea of the piano anchoring the ensemble, in harmony with the trumpet while the euphonium adds a steady bass. I like the idea of possibly using the piece to bring out different sounds that could be written with abstract symbols. The picture of the cavemen shows me that music is universal, and that even primitive prehistoric cavemen made their own music to a certain extent.
